TAMAGOTCHI X NY RAT
With this project we were experimenting with JavaScript and making a game with this scripting language. I chose to make a Tamagotchi style game with a typical New York rat as the main character.
Front-End Project - 2022
Overview
This project was made with the intent to act like a typical Tamagotchi game. Interact with it and it will remain happy. Not doing that will result to the rat dying and becoming a so-called ‘zombie’. For this project and also with the amount of time we had, I chose to portray the actions as little GIFs.
For the background I searched for a typical New York bodega but pixelated to match with the style I was going for. Knowing how unusually big the rats are in New York, I also exaggerated with the size of the rat.
The reason I chose a rat (more so a rat from New York), is because the morning before class started, I saw a video of a rat attacking people in the subway of New York.
